mojo_lorelai asked: I’m writing a story and in one scene, my character meets with someone who is hooked up to different medical apparatus to monitor his health and keep him alive. What are some machines that would do this? Can you be specific with thier names and have a brief description of what they are and what they do?
If it helps, the character had a heart attack about three years ago and is the main reason why he is confined to that state. He is not in a coma or paraplegic or anything, but he is old and is in a weakened state. I am basing this part of my story on my own experience with my late grandfather, but I am ignorant of medical technical things. Any help would be great, thanks.

Confused in the day asked: After contacting the hospital that put it with the collection agency, the hospital told them to remove it from collections. The company said they would write a letter to collection agencies saying it (was in monitoring only) this was Aug 17, 2009.
They explained they only write these letters on the 1st of each month, which would of been Oct 1.
As of today Oct 13, 2009 they have not done it. Any info out there ???
Help!!!! they are killing my credit score.

Veronica V asked: I’m in my sophomore year of college and trying to find a job in the hospital. I do not have much experience in the hospital field, though I am studying to be a nurse. I’m doing my basics right now….I Know a lot of jobs prefer degree/certificate. I was told that a technician job is a possibility, such as a monitor tech. Are there any specific jobs I can apply for in the medical field being a college student with not much experience? THANKS!

Michelle F asked: We were looking into using the Life Alert medical monitoring system for my elderly grandparents but read horrible reviews online. Does anyone know of any other companies that do this type of service that are reputable and have good reviews? We live near Houston, TX.
